Solid Brass Marlin Spike

A traditional mariner and bush crafting tool for rope work. Shaped in the form of a narrow metal cone tapered to a rounded point, it is used in such tasks as unlaying rope, splicing, untying, and drawing knots tight. When you have a knot that is impossible to undo, this is the tool for the job. We keep them in the tool kit on the bike, in the glove box in the truck, and on the boat. It's surprising how often they get used in "situations" of all kinds. 

Ours are hand-machined from 1/2" solid brass rod and are 6 inches long. Great for all your paracord work or as a handy tool for working knots of all kinds.
